David James Blake (9 Aug 1932 - 9 Jul 2023)

In loving memory of David James Blake who sadly passed away on 9th July 2023
David was born on 9th August1932 in Finchley to George and Kathleen Blake.
He had a brother William and sister Maureen plus a half sister Muriel and half brother George.
He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Primary school until he was 13 and left to work for Davies Tyre company which started his long career in the tyre industry. Only disrupted by national service.
He married June in 1954 and they had 3 children Alan Paul and Colin, who together gave David 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. June sadly passed away in 1983.
In 1985 he remarried to Margaret and giving him a step son Michael and step daughter Julia with a further 2 step grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He had a great skill at making everyone feel very special in his blended family.
After Margaret died in 2004 he stayed in Hatch End before moving to Nottingham in 2016 to spend his final years with his son Colin and his family.
He loved to travel, he loved Tottenham Hotspur and he loved to play golf. All great qualities that he has passed on to his family.
He was a very warm, kind and loving man and he will be greatly missed by us all.
