In loving memory of Lucy Lillian Ratcliffe who sadly passed away on 1st July 2023.
Lucy Lillian Ratcliffe nee Merritt was born in Sheerness on 29th February 1928. She loved the fact she was a leap year baby. Lucy was evacuated during World War II to Portland with her family when she was a teenager and worked as a vegetable chef in the Royal Naval Hospital. She met her future husband Gordon in 1949 and they married in July 1949. Lucy went on to have four children, and became grandmother to six, great grandmother to seven and great great grandmother to five.
