JOHN CYRIL
On 29th June 2023, in hospital, of Overton, formerly of Thornhill and Westtown, aged 88 years, John, devoted husband of the late Joan, dearly loved dad of Janet, Paul and Antony, dear father in law of Michail, a beloved grandad and great grandad, also a dear brother, brother in law and uncle.
Funeral service will be held at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Wednesday 19th July 2021 at 11.15am. Friends and family please gather at the crematorium. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made online or sent to George Brooke Ltd., for the benefit of The British Heart Foundation.

Dad loved walking and bought a 'green book' of walks in Yorkshire with short descriptions such as 'a leisurely stroll after tea' Each turned out to be a 'route march' that went on for hours. During one such walk the book was 'accidently' dropped in a river only for him to retrieve it, dry it off and plan the next family outing. At least most of the walks ended at the Pub. You have left us with lots of happy memories. x
