Nick passed away, peacefully in his sleep, on the 9th June, 2023. He had borne the news of his condition very bravely and really kept positive right until the end. Nick also stayed true to character as a kind, generous and humble person. He was greatly comforted by many wonderful conversations with his Mother, Elizabeth Thornton and his close friendship with Robert Lee-Cann. Robert and Nick managed to tick off some of Nick’s bucket list favourites before the end, which pleased Nick very much. Among his passions and interests, Nick was deeply interested in technology and wildlife.

I am very sad that I have only just learned of Nick's passing. We had been friends for over 30 years and I have visited him a number of times in recent months, the last being 2 weeks before his death. I admired his strength and courage in dealing with his illness and he will always be in my thoughts.R.I.P. my friend.

Please accept my sincere thoughts at a sad time I knew Nick through my work as a foot health practitioner. I shall miss our chats and recipe swaps greatly and I hope he got to do a few more of his bucket list he often spoke about. I didn’t know of his passing until today when I would have seen him so I shall especially keep him in prays today.
