Rob sadly passed away at home on 10th June 2023 after a short battle with cancer. His funeral took place on Monday 3rd July 2023 at Ipswich crematorium.
He is sadly missed and we remember him for his warmth and generous personality which touched the lives of many in so many different ways.
We were lucky that Rob was able to spend his last week at home with his family around him - which was what he wanted. This was only made possible with the help and support of the lovely outreach team at the St Elizabeth Hospice based in Ipswich, Suffolk. If you wish, tributes for Rob can be made here, or a donation in his memory to the hospice would be very kind. You will be helping to support the work of the hospice with families and individuals during the most difficult of times.

I met Rob through friends when vacationing in the UK in 2017 and we stayed friends ever since through the internet. He was a very kind and caring giant full of originality. I will truly miss you my friend and you may haunt me with your snores anytime. ❤️

One of the most passionate and intelligent guys I've ever known, Rob was a great bloke, a true scholar and an inspiration to many. Gone too soon, much missed, but never forgotten.

Rob was a true gentleman and scholar with a wide knowledge of art and architecture. We spent some happy times together.

Rob and I in his back garden. I can't remember why his beard had been shaved, but he was hard at work growing it back. Rob was just two weeks older than me, and we had so much in common, I'm gonna miss not talking to the fella.
