Steve was my first mentor when joining the Fingerprint Bureau. He took me under his wing and made me feel like I belonged. Steve was such a big character and left his mark on all those he met. RIP Steve. xx

I knew Steve for many years at NSY and he really was a top guy with a razor sharp wit. He was always supportive of you if you were a worker, wow betide you if you weren’t.
One of the funniest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

I worked with Steve for 9 years at NSY fingerprints and then met him many times at meetings and conferences after we both moved to other forces. I also lived around the corner from Steve and Joan in Parkwood Rainham and had the pleasure of travelling up to London most days on the Kingsferry coach's.That journey was the highlight of my day as I didn't stop laughing from Parkwood to Victoria Steet in London. There are too many stories to tell, but I loved his company abd he was a very kind person as well. Sleep tight Steve, those lucky buggers up there are in for one hell of a laugh. ❤️
