Peacefully after a short illness, with loved ones at his side, on May 29th aged 90 years, Jack, The devoted husband of Margaret, much-loved dad of Karen and loving father-in-law of Tony, treasured grandad of Helen and Gary, besotted great grandad of Lucy. A dearly loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend of many. Fondly remembered always.

Family and friends please meet on Tuesday June 20th for a service in Durham Crematorium at 1.30pm. All are welcome afterwards to Philadelphia Cricket Club for refreshments. Family flowers only, donations in lieu kindly received for the work of Dementia UK. A donation box will be available in the crematorium.

My Dad was the best Dad anyone could wish for so loving & generous always there for me no matter what, all my life I was a step behind him no matter what we were doing no words will express how much I will miss him love your No1 daughter (have to be as I'm the only daughter) X

Absolute gentleman Jack was. He loved his gardening and his football amongst other stuff. He will be sorely missed.
