Had the privilege off knowing Ken and his family for a number of years such a lovely gentleman always had the time to chat have a beer or two ( many more) had a good few laughs and party’s too remember for ever. When we first meet we were both in goal as our kids were playing football old school, jumpers as goal post and for some unknown reason we both challenging for the ball as you do been goal keepers our shins collided (bloody hurt) but we both got up and carried on ( been men) like it didn’t hurt . Both myself and my partner are saddened by this news of Ken passing. And send our thoughts and prayers to the families xx
Rip Ken gent and a scholar sorely missed

Dad, where do I start? From a kid you've been my inspiration. Your work effic and how you tried to give us everything we needed made me want to be hard working like you. You where my number 1 fan when watching me play for St Mary's, standing behind the goal always having my back. Your presence was known where ever you where and even when you where miles away I still held you close. I have regrets as do we all and wish we had spent even more time together once I'd grown into an adult. You where a fantastic grandad to max and fliss, you welcomed Katie into the family like she was your daughter and I thank you for all you did for us. Not only was you my dad and my kids grandad but you where my mentor and my best friend. I love you dad with all my heart. I will make you proud and I hope yo see you again some day, Sleep tight Dad

We grew together nick you and I we was inseparable we used to sleep over at each other’s houses I’m not gonna be morbid as I’ll share a couple of memories when we was in our twenties
Paula told him he had to pay an electric bill in farnworth town centre the place was packed with shoppers it was a boiling hot summers Saturday morning and I drove him down and parked outside the bank where he had to pay the bill by a certain time the front windows were down and I parked on doubled yellows right outside the bank Ken went in as I waited in the car the street was rammed with shoppers the next thing I know Ken at full speed came running out of the bank and literally dove through the front passenger side window with his doc Martins and legs hanging outside the car on top note screaming Go Go Go whilst slapping the side of my door And when I asked after burning some rubber to get him away WTF was that about. He burst out laughing which set me off so if any one in farnworth town centre and they was 100s milling about reported seeng the bank being robbed it was just Ken and his sence of humour or acting out his fantasy that was just a snapshot of Ken being Ken I hope this story one of many I could say gives comfort and puts a smile on the readers face to remember Ken as Ken good night god bless Till we see each other again sleep well buddy x
