In loving memory of James Robert Blewitt who sadly passed away on 2nd May 2023.

James leaves behind his beloved wife Helen and their 2 beautiful children Alexander and Sophia.

He was also a son to Jayne and Robert, brother to Mike and uncle to Bella and Charlie.

James was the most charismatic person you could meet and will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends. Hopefully many of you will be able to attend his funeral to celebrate his life.

The funeral will be family flowers only. If you would like to donate anything instead please do so by visiting the link below.

The funeral dress attire will be darker colours generally, however a splash of colour for him would be greatly appreciated.

I never had the pleasure to work closely with James as our paths never really crossed professionally. He was a presence though, a well liked guy who was popular with his colleagues. Such a shame to hear of his passing and condolences to his nearest and dearest for your loss. Rest peacefully James.

Thanks so much to anybody who has shared a photo, lit a candle, dropped a message and to those who attended on Thursday.

The day definitely was a celebration of his life as we absolutely hoped it would be. So many nice chats and memories shared afterwards at the wake too.

Thanks to everybody who has donated. We’ve spoken to the charity about the funds James has generated and they are completely overwhelmed by the support. So it’s definitely going to a good cause. A huge thank you it really means a lot.

Mike & Family

I'm by far a religious man, but...
God bless you all for your kindness, caring and loving prior to, during the day and forward support for James's, his lovely wife Helen and the kids.
I love you and thank you for making that day so special and filled with tears and love.
So many people making true heartfelt and difficult readings.
I am so proud to know you all.
God Bless to you all.
Love Bob

This is the same photo as before but this time with Steve, who you can just see between Robert and Corinne. The photo quality isn't the best but most of us were slightly the worse for wear at this point! Xx

  • What a night this was. I remember James being last man standing with me at the bar in Yates and rounding off a fantastic night for my 50th birthday. I regretted the shots the next day though James. You will be missed. RIP.

James has always been something of a giant in my life, I owe so much to him.

I will always remember him as friend who fundamentally cared for / about what he was doing, and the people he was doing it with, be it socially, work, or whatever... you would find James right in the middle of it. The ringmaster!

My Deepest sympathies to Helen, Kids, Mike, and the wider family.
