In loving memory of John. As the sun shone down on us in the lush meadows of daisies today I’m sure you were smiling down on your loving family as they remembered you and all you meant to them it was a beautiful farewell.

We will miss John..for the time we've known him, we have had a special place in our heart for him. We so enjoyed his humor, intelligence, and caring he had for his family, and so appreciate he and Jean's acceptance into the family of our son Greg, (Lizzie's husband). We will miss him, and know we'll meet again in the future. Jean, our thoughts are with you. I wish would could be there... Didi and Harry Scorzo

I love this photo of me and Dad outside his wonderful home that he made, like a work of art, with my lovely stepmother Jean. Full of gadgets, precision, paintings and wood. When I look at all of your photos you always have that warm smile on your face. X

Remembered for ever, with great love and affection, the cricket banter, international rugby matches, huddled around the fire with the crossword on freezing winter evenings at Osbrooks, you arrived with Jean as house sharers and left as friends for life.

  • Dearest Mayumi, John was so proud that you claimed him as your surrogate father. His monthly massage was sacrosanct and he benefitted hugely from each and every one.
