In loving memory of Susan Elizabeth Soare who sadly passed away on 6th May 2023.

It is with great sadness that I let you know that Sue passed away on Saturday, May 6th. She died peacefully in her sleep with no pain.  It is just over a year ago that we were told of Sue's condition, and the analysis of the tumours that had been removed from her brain sadly indicated a Grade 4 cancer. An incurable disease that we were told would certainly return and take her life in the near future. Sue has dealt with the gradual deterioration in her health over the last year so incredibly bravely, with utmost dignity and without complaint - she has been so strong and I am so proud of her. Following the tragic loss of our beloved son Robert just over four years ago, and now losing Sue has proved heartbreaking. Somehow, I know that the power of Sue's spirit will transfer to both Tom and myself and yourselves and give us the strength to make the most of our lives in the future. Nothing can take away the joy, the treasured memories of happy times spent with Sue and Rob and the love they so generously shared with everyone. Sue lived life to the full, with such motivation to ensure enjoyment would be shared with all her family and friends. She was so thoughtful of others.Always, planning and preparing for the next experience that would bring shared joy and happiness for all. The cards, letters and messages she has received in recent months from friends and family have been so beautifully written and each one shows that she was truly loved and valued in so many ways. Many of you simply told her 'Thankyou for being my friend'. Such a touching and meaningful statement to make. Each and every one of the messages you sent I know were greatly appreciated by Sue who as you will realise in recent months was unable to respond. In recent weeks, I made sure I read to Sue all of the messages you sent - telling her that you were thinking of her and sending your love. I thank you all for getting in touch and for sending her your warm and loving thoughts, your gifts and flowers. Sue is now at peace and her spirit I'm sure will live on and continue to bring happiness and joy in that Heavenly place where she will be.
