Susan Foulsham donated £25 in memory of Robert

Robert was a real character - one of the best! I have known him since 1991 when we first moved into Drinkstone and Robert knocked on our cottage door to invite my husband Eric out for a friday evening drink with him. This soon became a regular event and we were always grateful to him for this as it helped us to settle into village life.
In later years, ten years ago he took on the role of caretaker at the Village Hall and became an important member of our Village Hall team , a job that I think he really loved. He certainly put his heart and soul into it!
We have all felt his pain during the last year and he will be very much missed by us all.
Sue Foulsham
