A service in celebration of Marie’s life will take place:
Date: Friday 14th April 2023 at 13:45
Location: Wessex Vale Crematorium, Bubb Lane, Hedge End, Southampton, SO30 2HL
Dress code: Bright colours
A private wake will follow for close family and friends.
The family request no flowers but would appreciate any kind donations to a charity close to their hearts – Macmillan Cancer Support.

Over the years we have many happy memories with both Barry and Marie. Many evenings spent in the Elephant & Castle, BBQs at their house, and even on their wedding day when a few of us broke into their house and decided to decorate their lounge and outside wall with shaving foam which I don’t think they could ever get off.
You will be sadly missed Marie, but never forgotten. We are so grateful that we had such good times to look back on.

Marie, many of my happy childhood memories revolve around you and your family. Thank you for encouraging us to be ourselves, have fun and help us navigate a different culture. You offered support and love to us all these years and showed how strong friendships last a lifetime.

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Marie throughout Junior and Secondary school and we kept in contact until the family moved to Canada. We then lost touch but bumped into each other again some years ago in Southampton. I am so grateful we had that opportunity to reconnect and reminisc about childhood days. Despite not having seen each other for so long we just picked up where we'd left off and were able to share life stories. Rest in peace Marie.

Marie, you were always a good friend, and I will miss our long chats and the laughter. I was never easy to get on with but you never judged me ,and I will always be grateful for that. When you all come back from Canada it gave me a lift and it helped me more than you would have ever known . Goodbye dear friend xx
