In loving memory of Jane Brown who sadly passed away on 7th March 2023

To start Jane's story we have to begin with John and Betty.
John worked in the steal works Betty a cleaner in the kings.
Like every family in those days there holidays would be the Glasgow fair.
Where they would go to kinghorn to the caravan and to say it was a family event would be an understatement.
There would be John and Betty and the three kids there would John's brother and sisters with they're kids.
There would be Betties family there too and there kids.
This was always family thing and later Betty would often take the gran kids up there at weekends giving Jane and Bobby the chance to go out and have a wee drink. Most likely the 21 club where of course Jane and Bobby met.
When she looked across a crowded hall and see this b at the bar and decided that bum was going to be her bum for life and so it was.
They would have many a night out together in the 21 club with the friends and family and Jane had many a story to tell of the 21 club.
Jane and Bobby had two sons Scott who unfortunately can't be here as he has special needs and Greg. Bobby had a daughter Lorraine all ready who Jane loved like her own Lorraine also can't be here as she as has created a good life herself in Sweden with her own family which Jane was so proud of. Jane also had a niece Tracy who would be like a daughter going on holidays with her and Bobby and even going to America for one of those.
Jane loved her nights out and her nights in having house parties if they never got out at times. She decided not to have another garden party after Thomas melted the barbecue with lighter fluid.
At these events she loved to have a camera to take photos keeping those photos to look back on a recollect all the fun times. Like photo shoots in satin trousers in the living room or Blackpool with big funny cowboy hats.
Jane loved her football being a big rangers fan she went to the games here and abroad where she actually once turned to Bobby and asked why the fans all had there arms out while humming dambuster in Germany.
She would go and watch the football with Tracy in the Louden later in life after Bobby had passed often having Greg tag along with her.
Going back to her younger days she was a member of the orange lodge as was Bobby they loved going to the parades whether taking part or just to watch.
The bands where another family affair with both her brothers Bobby her dad john her uncles Billy Jimmy and most of her cousins all being in the bands.
Jane and Bobby would have a few homes but most notable where haghill where most of there friends lives and then later carntyne which would be there last family home.
In 2001 Bobby would loose his battle with cancer meaning Jane would raise the two boys without her husband.
Greg left the house after he met Maggie and would go on to have a family of three wonderful kids themselves the two boys Jay-R, Harley and the prettiest one Kayleigh the princess.
Now Scott on the other hand being special would stay with his mum up till his late thirties. Before moving into his own house where he has 24 hours care and has this new amazing life.
Jane loved a gab and just before the end of her life she would often confide in carol jean or the wee neighbour who was to become a wee drinking partner steeling wee jeans husband Tommy's title.
In the last few years Jane faves a lot she watched as her mum battle dementia as her dad was bed bound in a home. She would have to put her mum into care. She would have to go through operations and chemotherapy to fight cancer. She then had to watch her dad pass her mum pass then after being given the all clear she then would have to the hospital to find out that she had cancer yet again.
Jane had to fight her whole life she had to brother so she had to be tough and through everything she had thrown at her she kept fighting. She kept fighting right to the end with every heart beat and ever breathe not giving in but eventually god got his wish and another angel got there wings.

Darling Jane. I will never forget the day I tried to call Da for the first time and you answered the phone. I was so worried at the reaction I would get. I needn’t have been. You were so excited to hear from me and told me you’d always hoped for a day you’d talk to me. Every time I called Da after that you were always a voice of joy.
Unfortunately within a year, we lost him. Yet for the last twenty years you’ve still always been there for me. Sharing my wedding photo and telling me how proud both you and Da were.
Thankyou for showing me an unconditional love that I didn’t earn by being ‘your child’.
Thankyou for my brothers.
Thankyou for you.
Xx
