In loving memory of John Sumner who sadly passed away on 10th February 2023. John was a a long time resident of Lower Hill Drive and spent most of his life in the Adlington Area. John loved Wigan Rugby League and enjoyed watching them beat Saint Helens. His love for his garden and animals is a fond memory for all of us. He was a proud Father to Gareth and they spent many a day fiddling in the garage. He found love with Sue and they then went on to enjoy adventures together all over the world. He was a kind, fabulous man with a great sense of humour and he will be deeply and sadly missed.
Met John in 1990, ended up going to White Horse rbery Friday night with myself,John and Arthur scott ,for many years, We had a lot of good chats sorting the world out. John was a good mate and was always ready to help and advise whenever he could
He was a genuine friend and will be missed
We will miss his wry sense of humour and smile
John what can I say you where a lovely man and I am so grateful to have had you in my life over the last few years. Sleep well xx

I had the privilege of knowing John for many years, he was always caring kind , and funny, I spent more time which him this last year and find it hard I won’t see him again , love to garath his wonderful son.
So sorry to hear this sad news. Many fond memories from lower hill drive with John, Gareth and their many animals. RIP John. 💙
A lovely, kind person with a great sense of humour. Will always treasure the quiz night we went to, he made me laugh all night. Rest In Peace John.
