In loving memory of Sonia Maylin who sadly passed away on 11th January 2023
Sonia (Sunny) was full of kindness and fun. She spent her young years in Parkstone, Parley and West Moors. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, running Juno’s and also The Girl’s Life Brigade. Sonia served in the Women’s Royal Air Force as an Assistant Air Traffic Controller before settling back in Parkstone where she lived for more than 30 years working at Offer’s in Bournemouth Arcade before becoming a night care assistant at Alexandra House in Parkstone. On moving to Verwood she was an active member of the Royal British Legion Section and then Just Friends. She learnt to dance and play bowls. She continued to practise her faith at the friendly Verwood United Reform Church. Sonia was very much loved by her family and friends and her parting will be sorely missed.
