In loving memory of Howard Chambers who sadly passed away on 1st January 2023.

Howard, who was born Ellis Howard Chambers, spent much of his life in and around Southampton. He leaves behind his older sister, Vivienne, and will be much missed by his niece and nephews.

Howard had an acute mind and intelligence. He was renowned for his sense of humour! He spent much of his time working on his passion after he left his last salaried job. Chambers Technical Services Ltd was formed and Howard spent many hours with Terry Crabbe, his trusty engineer, working on restoring Lambretta scooters and making and selling parts for them all over the world. His partnership with Vittorio Tessera in Rodano, Italy, also saw him take many trips to Italy to visit and help with the museum restorations at Casa Lambretta.

He retired but still continued with his passion for scooters passing on invaluable knowledge to others who were interested in all the minute detail he could share. Howard was one of a kind - 'they don't make them like him anymore'.

Howard leaves behind the legacy of a special scooter 'The Red Devil' which he designed and built, but the scootering world has suffered a huge loss with his passing. Vivienne, Howard's sister, is still coming to terms with him going and will greatly miss his Sunday visits for a coffee and a currant bun.

R.I.P. Howard, met him once at his house a lot of years ago. Popped there to pick up some parts for the restoration of my French ld. Great guy. Cheers , Sedge, true brits scooter club. WOLVES. 🛵🛵🛵🛵
