Rodney John Cole (28 Mar 1946 - 14 Jan 2023)

In loving memory of Rodney John Cole who sadly passed away on 14th January 2023

Rodney and Christine were married for almost 56 years. They have two children Mark and Tracy and three grandchildren Steven, Charlotte and Callum. They were also grandparents to Stephanie and William and were great grandparents to Stephanie’s children Albie and Franklin.

Rodney survived a major heart attack in 2009 and then later in 2021 had a stroke which he recovered from. Later
In 2021 he was diagnosed with Prostate cancer which was caught early and he was managing his treatment.

During late 2022 he became ill struggling to eat and had trouble keeping food down which led to being taken to hospital late on Christmas Day. On the early hours of Boxing Day morning we discovered he had more cancer.

He was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer which had spread to several organs which eventually led to liver failure and his passing.

We have therefore chosen to accept donations to the British Heart Foundation and also to the Big C a charity

Rodney was passionate about the care he had received from the heart specialists and supported them after surviving the initial heart attack and again the stroke.
