In loving memory of Delia Lillian Cook who sadly passed away on 25th December 2022.

Our Mum was a petite little lady, but don’t be fooled, to say she was strong would be an understatement, mentally & physically .
A strength that could only ever be admired .
As a Mother she was like a Lioness with her cubs, a protector like no other .
A sweet, kind, caring, generous soul that had no boundaries in how far she would share her kindness, Mum was selfless always putting her children first.
Anybody struggling, the homeless, anyone in need had Mums full attention, Mum would go way & beyond to help others not to mention I eternal love for animals of all kinds.
Every waif & stray would end up under my Mums strong , kind wings, loved & nurtured & given the best life an animal could dream of .
Mum was always giggling at something whether it be something she was reading in her daily newspaper , something on the TV it something she had witnessed, she had a wicked sense of humour & found humour in pretty much anything .
Mum would work 3 jobs per day, Morning , noon & night to ensure we never went without .
Mum was a great saver & was always saving for something but only for her children .
Birthdays were always amazing .
However Christmas was pretty incredible every single year come rain or shine Mum ensured a Christmas that all children dreamed of .
We had the most magical Christmas’s because of Mum.
Mum loved Xmas Day.
Spring was ultimately Mums absolute FAVOURITE time of year .
The light evenings meant she could walk
Her socks off in the spring air as walking was something she did all day everyday .
Mum loved gardening so the Spring brought her so much happiness & comfort .
The beautiful spring flowers Mum would plant in her garden and each year they came through she would be so proud at the beauty of her beautiful garden she had created .
Mum led a very simple life & never stopped smiling even during tough times .
Mum lived her life for one reason and one reason only , her children & then her grandchildren .
We feel so blessed ♥️
Mums love for animals was everything, our very own Delia Doolittle .
In Mums honour we would like to continue her kindness to animals in desperate need by asking for donations to The Safe Haven animal charity to help give a future to vulnerable animals .
Thank you for visiting our Mums obituary, please feel free to light a candle 🕯️ & leave a message .

Dear Beautiful Delia, it was a pleasure knowing you! A small dot of a lady but with a large fighting strength, you fought a tough battle and now it is time to rest 💗you were ever so sweet and had such a beautiful smile, family Sunday dinners or BBQs at Danielle’s will not be the same without seeing you there, I always couldn’t believe it how you would pop off and get the bus home years ago! Such an independent woman! You will be missed, res t in paradise Becky,Martin,Shannon&Willow xxx

To Delia, it’s been a pleasure to have known you for 15 plus years. I will remember you as a loving grandmother to my niece and nephew, an amazing mother to your daughters who have the most cherished memories of you, a fun mother in law full of banter and just a person to loved and cheating life. I’ll always remember family Sunday lunches and your constant smiling face. Delia keep smiling and the whole world will smile with you. Lots of love Denise and family x
