Harvey John Luke (Passed away 31 Dec 2022)

It is with sadness that the family of Mr Harvey Luke announce his passing on 31st December 2022 at the age of 88. He died peacefully in Withybush General Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 66 years Mrs Eira Joan Luke and his daughters Amanda Edwards and Caroline Oakley. He leaves 4 grandsons which he was close to and 4 great grandchildren.

Harvey was born in Highbridge, Somerset in 1934 and worked in London at Wilkinson Sword in the Registrar’s office. He met Eira Joan Smiles in 1952 and they married in Tenby St Mary’s Church in 1956.

Following the family’s move to Tenby in 1970 he decided to retrain to become a teacher. He attended Trinity St David’s College Carmarthen and graduated in 1973. He was appointed as a geography teacher at Greenhill School, Tenby where he became Head of the Humanities department & a senior teacher in the management team until his retirement in 1997.

His funeral arrangements are being planned but will be for immediate family only.
