In loving memory of William 'Bill' Arthur Bridger who sadly passed away on 14th December 2022;

My dad was born in Lambeth November 1938 - he grew up in war torn London and in the aftermath - he always said to me playing in the rubble was his playground.

He was the middle child of William & Beatrice and younger brother of David and older brother to Bet.

Bill was very close to his dad and sister. Family was always important to him but unfortunately things in life are not always straight forward nor easy.

Bill would have 4 children but as so happens in life sometimes things don’t work out as you would wish.

You would have a second chance at father hood and you would grab that opportunity with both hands.

You can see from the photos how close Bill would be to his son Robert and they would form an unbreakable bond.

Bill would also enjoy his time working in the theatre business, he would work on the original Les Mis at the Barbican theatre and would form some special friendships along the way.

Bill loved horse racing, gardening, wildlife, pets, and most things sport related. Most of all he loved his family: Rob, Harry, Val, Tina and Sarah.

Rest in Peace Dad; Rest in Peace Grandad.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Bill. My memories are probably a little different to most. I remember he was a very very good cook!! Always making me most welcome as Val's friend. Rest in peace.
