The introduction to the Grovesnor catalogue sale of the bulk of the John Forrest postal history collection. This took place in the Strand just before John and Anne left Scarcroft. The remainder of his collection was sold by Grovesnor a few hours before he passed away. John managed to buy back several items from his original sale in the intervening years!

A good day out. I remember a plaque in that carriage that indicated that it ran on the Waterloo to Bournemouth line. A journey that he made often.
