We have set up this Just Giving page in loving memory of Les Willsher.

Les spent the last 6 weeks of his life under the medical care of Farleigh Hospice. Farleigh staff were hugely compassionate and supportive to us all as a family and we couldn't have asked for a better ending for our much loved husband and Dad, Les.

Les was always so passionate, kind and generous when supporting something he believed in, and if we can help fund another family to be under the care of Farleigh that would be amazing.

There are so many of us who will have some great memories to treasure of fun times spent with Les. We will always fondly remember & reminisce on 45 years of true friendship.
We are very grateful to Farleigh for their care of all the family at this saddest of times.

A very special person, who I know will be missed by a lot of people. I have lots of good memories of knowing him; he was always much more than just "my boss" to me. It was a privilege to know Les inside and outside of work.

Thoughts are with you all at this sad time.

Les was a very kind man whose company I always enjoyed (also because he always kept me up to date with goings on at Chelmsford City). He was also a fantastic granddad to my two wonderful nieces. He will be greatly missed.

Like everyone else who knew Les, it goes without saying what a great guy he was, and although I only worked with Les for about 10 years at Chelmsford City, during that time I really appreciated how valuable Les was to the Club. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Sadness. A good man gone far too soon. Les will go down in history for many reasons, all of them justifiable illustrations of his wonderful nature, kindness and ever enjoyable humour. He also has a totally unique place in the annals of time, that as the only player I ever gave out "Hit The Ball Twice". Ultimately he was reprieved by the opposing captain asking to be allowed to withdraw the appeal. An incident he took with his usual calm, a shrug of the shoulders and a, albeit confused, smile.
Now from that big pavilion in the sky, rest well Les, you will be missed by us all. Our world was a far better place for knowing you!
