In 1993 my future husband - John and I - went on holiday to sidari in corfu. We had a tiny little room on the top floor of our apartment. We became friends with Ann and John. And Oliver became our little shadow. We became holiday friends-we visited Ann and John on the beautiful estate. John took my John shooting. Ann died as John-my husband and I were getting divorced- 2005. It hurt that we couldn’t attend Ann’s funeral. I had spoken to John (Beverley) I knew he missed Ann.
Ann and John were very special to me. I became pregnant with my daughter Rachael whilst on holiday in Scotland with Ann, John and Oliver. We all went up in johns red montego estate. She’s now almost 30 and John and I have two grandchildren! If anyone related to Oliver reads this - would you ask him- what did John and Debbie say? - he’d go ‘ayyyeee’ ‘you muppet!’

  • Hello I'm John's daughter Nicki, I read this out to Ollie and before I said who it was from he did say "you Muppet" so remembers you very well. Ollie is doing really good he lives in the Nottingham area in a supported house and they keep him busy but he does miss Dad, I get up to see him often and he comes to stay with me too. Dad also spoke of you both and the times he spent with you. I hope you are all keeping well x

  • Hello, I’m John’s cousin & I am so sorry to hear of his passing. We were in contact over the years & spoke over the phone around Christmas each year. When I hadn’t heard from him I tried writing, leaving my contact details but as there was no reply there has been no one else to contact. He did speak about his family & I remember he had a daughter Nicki. Once again, sorry to all the family for your loss & will remember him with affection. Lynne ( from Yorkshire)
