Dad,
I remember you when the squirrel comes
You watched him scurry every day
When the fox brought vixen and cubs
For the food you left, along its way
When the magpies fight, for one wedge of bread
And pigeons wobble around
The sparrows bib n bob about,
For food left on the ground
I remember you in nature dad
A colourful flower, the rustling trees
a butterfly on your window pane
a spider making a web
so, rest in peace now dad
Until the day we meet again
Love you so much xxx
