I had the privilege of working with Donal as a graduate, he was a fantastic person to work for and I learnt loads from him, not just subject technical knowledge but also more generally. Have fond memories of our weekly Monday morning football debrief. Saddened by this news, my sincerest condolences.

Shirley, like many of Donal colleagues so shocked and very sorry to hear such shocking news. I'm afraid I can't get to the funeral, I have some health issues, but will be thinking about you and your family on the day. With our very deepest sympathy, Phil and Olga Hampson.
