It was a great privilege to work with Derrick over many years at the Christie Hospital. He was a modest, polite and charming man.

On 4th November 2022, in hospital, of Netherton, aged 86 years, Derek, dearly loved husband of Lynn, beloved dad of Richard, Tim and the late Nick, dear father in law of Michelle and remembered with much loved by grandchildren Connor & Steve, Aimee & Ben and great granddaughter Phoebe, also a dear brother, brother in law and uncle.
Funeral service will be held at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Friday 2nd December 2022 at 12:30pm. Friends and family please gather at the crematorium. Family flowers only, donations in lieu may be made online or sent to George Brooke Ltd for the benefit of Martin House Children’s Hospice. Following the funeral service all will be welcome to join the family for refreshments at the Star Inn, Netherton.
