Just over 16 years ago I met you in the café at Barry Road with Justin's mum, at that time my belly was a lot bigger than yours as I was expecting Lloyd. We got on so well you had banter and loved football. When you stood up and Julia stood up it was quiet funny with the height difference and your words to leave were "see you round like a doughnut".
As time progressed on we all grew to love you and your banter. You loved watching the boys play football and you watched Jake progress through many different levels sharing lots of football talk and even shouting at the ref on the side line for Jake.

You made Julia very happy and enjoyed lots of holidays together on buses and cruises and other little tours.
I will never forget that phone call of you ringing me as your first option crying and asking for help down the phone as you had both been in bus accident.

You done so well in slimming world after losing lots and lots of weight. In fairness you stuck to it, had the will power and the boys were unable to say Alan the buddha any more.

After your major throat surgery, you were never the same and lost all confidence, which was sad to see.
It broke me to watch how fast you deteriorated and how much pain you were in, life can be so cruel at times! but you fought to the very end even saying you were getting out of bed (although we all know you couldn't). Your last days were not great to see watching you slipping away. One day I said right Alan I will come see you tomorrow as Im away Friday and you said "Dont Forget" I said how could I forget about you, you just gave me a smile and a nod.

You are now at peace & pain free, so til the next time we meet SEE YOU ROUND LIKE A DOUGNUT xxxx
RIP ALAN
