It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful husband, dad, grandad and brother, James (Jim) Smith on Saturday, October 8th, 2022. Jim passed away peacefully at home, aged 75, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Over seven years, he never once complained, and always displayed incredible dignity, courage and humour right up until the very last day. The service will be held at Sutton Crematorium at 3:15, on Tuesday, October 25th. All are welcome to attend. In accordance with Jim’s wishes, the family plan to celebrate his life through humour and music. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for Mary Ann Evans hospice in Nuneaton. Jim is survived by his wife Barbara, children, Kate and Chris Smith, son in law, Martin Wilkes, his brother Alan Smith, and his beloved grandchildren, Megan, Abigail, Alice, Ben and Olivia.

This news made me so sad. I shall always remember the runny egg sandwich with no plate trick and also the plots we made against Barbara when I was little. Sorry Barbara. RIP Jim, you were so much fun.
