In loving memory of Gerald Wareham who sadly passed away on 19th September 2022
Born in Durweston, nr Blandford in June 1932. Joined TS Mercury in 1947, and then the Royal Navy as Boy 1st Class a year later.
Commissioned as an officer in 1958. Posted to numerous ships and HMS Ganges in the 1960s, serving lengthy periods in the Far East. Retired from the Royal Navy in 1972 with rank of Lieutenant. Appointed as Training Officer for Wessex Water authority, and then in 1978 appointed Deputy Harbour Master for Poole. Subsequently, Harbour Master until his retirement.
Passed away peacefully at the Regency manor care home, 13 months after the decease of his wife, Jan Wareham
