In loving memory of Jacquie Goucher who passed away on 31st August 2022, after a long battle with cancer. She will be reunited in heaven with her husband David (died 2016) and her eldest son, David John (who died suddenly on 28th May 2022).

A loving wife and mother, Jacquie very happily fulfilled her role as an RAF Officer’s wife for many years. After moving to Dorset, she took on a new role as a devoted Matron to all the girls of Allan House at Bryanston School. She was well known in her local village community with many commenting on her enduring positivity, warmth and friendly outgoing personality.

She will be missed by so many.

I remember Jacquie was one of the very first ‘Yogis’ I taught many years ago at Iwerne Minster Village Hall. Jacquie had the biggest beaming smile and one of the brightest shining souls I have ever had the honour of meeting. No matter what the situation Jacquie always saw the best and emulated the best she could be, encouraging everyone she met along the way. Jacquie is a soul I will hold in my heart with the highest of love and deep gratitude to have spent time with her on this journey. May her light shine as bright as it always does wherever she may be xxxx

To Helen, Mark, Lizzie and all Jacquie's family.
Over the last few years we have had the greatest fun and lots of laughter with our shopping and lunch trips. When we came down to say goodbye, the first thing she did was to ask after Jeremy's back operation...as ever, so caring about other people, and brushing over her own problems. The last few years have been dreadfully unkind, and I don't know how she would have managed without Lizzie's devoted companionship and all her family's love and support. I am so sorry not to be able to come to the funeral, but will be thinking af you all.

From Canada we send our sympathy and prayers at this sad time
When my sister and I were quite young Jacquie and her older sister Paddy were our older glamorous intelligent cousins away at university. But always Jacquie was kind and caring. We connected more as we aged. She and my parents shared a good relationship too
Treasure the love you all shared

So sorry that I was unable to see Jacquie before her death. She was a valued friend, and a great hostess, but I am not totally fit so I won't be attending her funeral though I shall be thinking of you all with love and sadness.

Jim and I have been neighbours of David and Jaquie and family for many years. Deeply intelligent and straight-talking, and a sensitive friend, we have valued Jacquie's presence and shall miss her enormously. Rest in Peace. With love, Cathy and Jim

Jacquie and I first met at a bridge game organised by Sarah Cavan. We hit it off immediately and were delighted to find that both husbands had long careers in the RAF. So much to talk about. So many mutual friends. So many laughs. The last time I saw Jacquie she passed on a hilarious book called The Secret Barrister. The laughs continue. Heartfelt condolences to all the family. Jacquie will be sorely missed. May she rest in peace and rise in Glory. Velda x
