In loving memory of Brenda Wildman who sadly passed away on 27th July 2022

Brenda was born in Bridlington on 17th June 1930 the youngest of four. Growing up mostly in the wartime years gave her a resilience and fortitude often found in her generation but also a fascination for meeting and helping other people.

She met Londoner Len after they were pen friends and he moved up to Bridlington after the war. They were married in 1951 and moved down to London soon after. Brenda did well at school and qualified as a Chiropodist working around bringing up her two boys, Philip born in 1960 and Gregory in 1973, until retiring in 1990. She always enjoyed meeting and helping people and after retiring put this energy into voluntary work for Samaritans and Citizens Advice.

Brenda and Len enjoyed holidays in Europe, mainly France, and retirement enabled them to spend much more time abroad mostly travelling in a very small mobile home. Holidays were often adventures when things didn't go to plan but were always fondly remembered.

Brenda was very loving with a great sense of humour.

I remember Brenda fondly. We were neighbours for several years and went to the local Garden centre shortly before the pandemic. We had a good catch up and chat. She'll be missed by all my family. Two of my sons, Ben and Sam worked with Greg at one time and Tom played tennis with Greg.
