Still shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of Mark so early. Had many a good run ashore with him, first as one of my RO's onboard Trenchant or Trafalgar (sorry can't remember which) then as my relief out in Gibraltar and finally down in 345. One of life's true gentle men. You will be sorely missed Shipmate. Condolences to your family.

I genuinely nice human being. On taking over his watch at UKSUBCAMS, as a sprog CPO; Mark took time out of his resettlement leave to help me settle in. I also remember him helping me when I had massive snags at PD. He offered a service above and beyond his remit.

Saddened to hear that you were taken far too early. A big heart and friendly face it was pleasure to be in your watch as a JRO and then working with you in UKSUBCAMS….. and even as a civvy you were still a great help to me in Oz when I needed those SATCOM settings..

It was with an extremely heavy heart, I heard the news of my old friend and comrade from the Submaribe Service Mark Walsh had passed away..way too soon.
Mark was a genuine gentleman, and a real Submariner always ready to help or advise as needed. We did our PO's course together, and as Mark had an excellent technical mind he had to assist myself and 1 or 2 others during the course on some tricky issues. He was happy to help us less gifted people, and we bought him a pint and thanked him.

I served with him also at Northwood and his fun loving but professional attitude to life shone thru.

Could I pass on my deepest condolences to his family, and request God to take precious care of one of the most beautiful and loving souls he will see in his celestial resting place.

So saddened and shocked to hear of marks passing. By far one of my favourite people to work with in my time at Subcams. Lovely man, great company and a brilliant watch leader. Thoughts are with all your family mark.

We are deeply saddened to hear that we have lost one of our STS Defence family.
Mark made an enormous contribution to the company’s success over the years, and more importantly was a good friend, colleague and mentor to many of us here.
Words simply cannot describe how much he will be missed now he has gone. A truly fantastic and hardworking person who has been taken from us far too soon. From all of us, we send our heartfelt condolences to the family.

We were so very sad to hear of Mark's passing. Our thoughts are with you all. Lots of love from Shaun and Eileen.

Lesley and I were so very sad to hear this news. It was only a short while ago that he was in our Lanzarote garden enjoying a BBQ. He was a truly lovely man and will be missed by all that knew him. Our thoughts are with Sang and all the family at this time. Bee and Ley. x
