Rita Kathleen Teare (21 Oct 1924 - 15 Jul 2022)

Rita came into our lives in March 2020 at the start of the first lockdown. Karl and I were volunteering in the local community to support those in need in the early unknown and scary times! Little did we know that Rita would become our friend that we looked out for in her last years. Rita was a wonderfully stubborn lady who brought a smile to our faces with her quirky ways! I hope that she knew that she helped us get through the lockdowns just as much as we helped her! We will never forget Rita's list. We are so lucky to have met such a feisty and funny lady and we wuill treasure those shopping trips and doorstep chats on our bikes. Rita always had a story to tell about love and life - laughter ever present!

Rita was my last link to my Mum, Dad,Aunt and Nan who all lived in Southampton. I had so many wonderful conversations with Rita about my family. RIP dear Rita
