In loving memory of Rita Austin who was taken far too soon. She died in hospital with her family by her side on Monday 25th July 2022. She was a loving wife to Ritchie Austin and devoted mum to Ricky Austin. Rita was an amazing nana to her best friend and only grandchild "Wee Ricky" who's heart will be sad for ever. Even if you know what's coming your never prepared for how it feels it's not "goodbye" it's see you later.
Rita was the first born child of Mary Darroch and sister of many who loved her dearly. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sending love and condolences to the family.

Rita was a force of nature with a wonderful sense of humour and wicked laugh. As one of the many mums who looked after all the kids of Greenhead street she was always there with a helping hand and wasn’t afraid to kick your ass for cheek.

She will be very much missed by so many people none more than her three lovely men and her daughter in law

Rest in peace Rita. Hope you and my mum have a ball up there till we meet again xx

Sorry to hear this sad news always loved to be in Rita’s company. Fantastic mother and nana who loved her beloved ricky and wee richard and family everyone knew it. Rita also was mad crazy elvis fan who visited Memphis on many occasions with her devoted sisters Anne& Cath, also had the opportunity to go to Memphis with them. We will all miss her crazy laugh and her no messing attitude. God bless, Carlton bar won’t be the same with out her neither will we x
