Peacefully on August 1st after a brave fight with dementia aged 83 years, Wilfred (Wilf). The devoted husband of the late Pat. The much loved dad of Maxine, Wilf and the late Andrew and father-in-law to Alan and Alison. The treasured grandad of Sophie and Amelia. A loved son of the late Hector and Winifred. A loved brother of Sunny, Ralph, Joe and John and brother-in-law of David, Sheila, Paula, David, Edie and Olive. The special uncle of Edward, a dear family member and friend to many. A service will take place on Tuesday August 16th in St Michael & All Angels Parish Church, Houghton at 1.00pm. Committal to follow in Sunderland Crematorium. Refreshments are being served at Chester le Street Cricket Club afterwards. Family flowers only, donations in lieu of flowers will be kindly accepted for Action on Dementia, Sunderland.
