In loving memory of Jamie Condon who sadly passed away on 26th July 2022.

Please see details of Jamie's funeral service on this page. We would love to see you there (please confirm on this page if you're attending). We request that no formal mourning attire is worn. Wear black if that's your thing but equally be as colourful and bright as you like.

We ask that there are no flowers but that you donate to the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance who attended to Jamie. A donation button is on this page.

There will be an opportunity during the service for friends and family to stand up and share memories and stories about Jamie. Please do let us know if you would like to do this (we hope that you will). If standing up and speaking is not your thing or you are unable to attend then you can leave messages on this page and we will read them out.

Much love
Anne, Freya and Dylan xxx

We'll Meet Again Sometime by Strawbs
I only have my memories to last me the remainder of my days
For time has now decided that we must go our individual ways
The warmth I feel inside can more than overcome my loss
But this is me today and tomorrow I must count the cost.
We'll meet again sometime
Though the road is steep and very hard to climb.
The pleasures of a lifetime condensed into a fleeting glimpse of truth
A moment of delight as when a child receives a sixpence for a tooth
The simple things in life mean more to me than money ever buys
The greatest thing for me to see my love reflected in your eyes.
We'll meet again sometime
Though the road is steep and very hard to climb.
We'll meet again sometime
Though the way is never clear
My sacrifice is made
Everything that I hold dear
We'll meet again sometime
Though the road is steep and very hard to climb.
Oh lover of a lifetime let me look upon your loveliness alone
Oh but I cannot gaze too long for I fear that it will turn me into stone
A monument to life to stand forever by your grave
Inscribed for all to see, a message of respect, "Be brave".
For we'll meet again sometime
Though the road is steep and very hard to climb.

Jamie the first time we met was when we were dropping our daughters off on their first day of a new school year, it was that day we discovered our daughters were both called Freya and both had a surname beginning with C and from that day we had many playground chats. One memory that will stay with all of us is the way you modelled the face changing photos at Jess's party. You truly were a fantastic artist who always had time for a chat and you were full of honest opionins. You will be missed that's for sure. Much love to Anne, Freya & Dylan no words can ease your pain but we truly hope knowing you are in people's thoughts will give you comfort. So sorry we aren't able to be with you today our love & thoughts will be with you all. Wayne, Hi, Freya & Levi x

The first time I met Jamie was in a pub in Kingston in around 1986. He spent a long time, probably too long, telling me how much he liked the band I was in, and in particular how much he liked our song Kiss, Kiss, Kiss. Whenever we spoke he was always very supportive of my musical ventures, right up to last year when we released our latest song.

Another thing we talked about a lot, probably too much, was Doctor Who. Initially I wasn’t as keen on Doctor Who as Jamie was, but ultimately I found it impossible to not be swept along with his enthusiasm.

We used to see each other fairly often when Jamie and Anne, lived in Kingston, but when they moved to the wilds of Walton on Thames our conversations mainly moved to the phone and we didn’t see each other for a long time, too long really.

One memory of Jamie was at my wedding around 25 years ago. I was struck by the fact that he was the only person to say how pleased they were that I got the DJ to play Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep. He then spent some time telling me how massively underrated that song is. Of course, I totally agree with him, but I’m really not sure many other people do!

As we both started families they inevitably became the main subject of conversation, after all, when you’ve got a lovely family you can’t talk about them too much. That meant our conversations had to get longer, so that we could fit a bit of Doctor Who and music in there too!

It was so great that Jamie found the opportunity to spend more time his art in recent years. I have a piece of artwork he did in the 80s for our band. Something to treasure for sure.

I’m s
Jamie will be greatly missed by many and I’m so sorry that I won’t be able to attend tomorrow.

Sending love to Anne, Freya and Dylan.

We are away so sadly can’t be there with you for Jamie’s funeral tomorrow, but very much thinking of you Anne, Freya and Dylan. Curry Rivel will be a much less colourful place without Jamie around. He was always kind, interested in other people, full of stories and amazing art. It’s a cliché but very much gone too soon. Much love xxx
