Grandad. It’s hard when you lose someone you’ve known all your life to know what to say. It’s in the everyday small things where I think of you the most. You’re in the smell of Aarons tomato plants every time I walk past the back door, you’re there every time I make cheese on toast, because yours was always the best, or when I read ‘Old Bear’ to Charlie at bedtime. You’re there in so much of my daily life and I will miss you every day. Most importantly, it makes me happy, happy that I knew you and I feel so lucky to have had you as my Grandad. You brought happiness to so many peoples lives and it will be a sad day when we have to say goodbye for the last time. You were a lovely man and loved by everyone who met you. Xx

The most wonderful Grandad in the whole world. So many special memories growing up and memories that I will treasure forever. Whenever I think of you, I like to think that you’re pottering around in the garden in the sky, growing your beautiful flowers and the best veg ever to be grown. Night night Grandad, I love you always. xx
