In loving memory of Ron Tennens who sadly passed away on 20th July 2022
Our Dad was an amazing role model and business man, he was caring and attentive, always there for us and great at finding ways of combating problems. Such a positive person that loved what he called “a twinkle round the corner”. He had such a zest for life and no matter what was thrown his way he didn’t dwell but moved forward with a hearty laugh.
He was the best dad, a great friend to many and as some have said, he lit up the room with his humour and stories. We miss him very much but feel blessed to have had him in our lives for so long. Carol, Barry, Terry, Julie, David and the rest of the family

I am so very very sad on your dad's passing. I worked for him several times from the age of 15 in 1957 as a messenger boy. I am still working in shipping at the young age of 80. I saw him about 3 years ago and he looked good then. I was talking about him today and tried to ring him, but sadly the line was not working. I think about him a lot as he was always very good to me. God Bless Him. Doug Baldwin. 07785 571581

Grandad puff puff,
I have so many lovely memories of time spent with you that I will always treasure. Time spent being at the beach, playing badminton in the garden, going fishing and many, many more. Xx

I have had the pleasure of being Ron's watercolour teacher, since May 2018. He was such a lively and funny member of our Art group, often regaling us with stories from his past. We all miss him greatly. Ron was always so positive, and a real old-school gentleman.

Grandad, a man with several affectionate names from some of your many Grandchildren, Grandad puff puff by most and for me Grandad Bubbies, from ruining the bed you had just made whilst on a family holiday. I have many special memories growing up with you and have you to thank for getting me into golf and letting me be tiddlywink champion of July Cottage.
You had so many great stories that you loved to tell and were always hilariously funny. A larger than life personality and a laugh that lit up a room. I’ll miss you lots x

In fond memory of dear old Ron. He was a great Probus friend and we had some good fun times together on various trips and I will always remember our common 'Shipping' chats and lunches together. Jeff and Lynne Nicholson

  • Still thinking of my old boss. Started working him on the 1st May 1958, when he worked for Flexhill Shipping Ltd. I am still working, nearly 82. He bought me my first car, a mini. Fond memories. Dougl Baldwin
