‘Love you’ is what you said at the end of every conversation we had since you met me. You instantly accepted me and were so warm towards me. You had the most innocent, giving, loving heart. You taught me how to make massaman curry, to not kill spiders, to always always wash rice. You filled me and Jay up with lots of delicious food, you talked about poppy as your grandchild and always struggled to pronounce Rupert’s name. I miss you coming into the flat to clean when we and jay were out! Thank you for helping us for those few years when we were finding our feet. I will miss your Christmas card each year and reading ‘lost of love’. I forgot to thank you for the card you sent went Isla was born. I saw on Facebook how proud you were of her and Jay for having a daughter. I’m so glad you got to meet Isla if only over FaceTime. You were unbelievably proud of Jay, I could always see that. Thank you for him, parenting is hard. I know you would have loved to have watch Isla grow. Hopefully you will. Love you x
