In loving memory of Gary Peddie.
He had a short, fierce battle with cancer
Sadly, he passed away on 13th July 2022.
Gaz was a very special person to many.
He will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed.
Whilst commenting how strange it felt to organise his own funeral,
he asked for a happy day, not a sad one, a celebration of his life.

I also went to St Mary’s and St Margaret Ward with Gary and I think we were in the same class throughout. We were really good mates and I had the pleasure of spending lots of time with him and his wonderful family at there home in Smallthorne, playing football until it went dark on the school all-weather pitch and listening to rock music. Infact, I seem to remember we split the cost of one LP (might of been Motorheads ‘Ace of Spades) and had custody of it on alternate weeks!! Unfortunately we lost touch around the age of 16/17 and I’m really sad that we never got chance to meet up again later in life!

I knew Gaz from when we were 4 years old starting school at St Mary’s. Gaz was a great sportsman but he was also very bright. He was popular, a loyal friend and fun to be with. We at school together until we were 16. We lost touch when we left but it was great to make contact again through Facebook and see what we’d been up to. Rest well my friend and see you in the other side.

Although we haven’t seen each other in a while it never changes that you are family. Fond memories of all the times we’ve shared. Love you Gary the world lost an amazing man and the skies gained a shining star. Condolences to your whole family and friends in both Southampton and Stoke on Trent.
