In memory of Gerald whose outstanding dedication and work ethic transformed the garden at Ashridge House. The garden will forever remain as a permanent memorial to his commitment and desire to improve his home environment.
Long may we be able to maintain his creation!!

I knew Gerry for well over forty years, he was always happy and optimistic, and the man could graft. I remember working with him and laughing so much that I nearly fell off the ladder. I will miss him and so will my family. Have a good rest mate, you deserve it. Fred and family

My beautiful Dad, Gerry, my best friend who was the best Dad anyone could ask for. May you be running around busy with the angels, looking after the roses. Love you dad, until we meet again my hero. X

Gerry and I used to do private garden construction jobs at weekends now and then over a period of 40 years. One particular weekend we had grafted! All weekend, got done late on Sunday afternoon, cold and soaking wet jumped in his motor striped to the waist, bombing down the M25 home singing our heart out to Billy Pauls, Mrs Jones on the the radio, and Gerry reminding me ,as every job we finished "there is workers...and there are Grafters mate! We can go to work next week and have a rest! And every time we went our separate ways He told me "Don't work hard ..work smart! Love ya!
You could graft Gerald time for a rest. Nick xxx
