In loving memory of Christoper Helder who sadly passed away on 29th June 2022 Christopher Andrew Helder was born in St. Thomas’s Hospital London on 18th October 1991, he was the youngest of four children. He was a funny, happy, mischievous child who loved his family and friends. He lived in Brixton, Dulwich & Peckham before eventually settling in Southampton at age 7.

Chris lived most of his adult life like a nomad, moving from one place to the next and making many friends along the way. He was a fast and furious type who didn't stay in one place too long and his life was full of adventures (which he enjoyed telling everyone about).

He enjoyed riding his motorcycles and always tended to steer towards danger as opposed to away from it like most people would and there was always a crazy story behind every cut, bruise and scar.
Many people knew him as “Peckham” including all of Southampton Police 😊
He would do anything for his friends & was always a very generous person.
Throughout his life Chris struggled a lot with his mental health problems and was always getting himself into trouble.
His family loved him very much and always wanted the best for him, over the years they tried to help him to get his life back on track but he could be very stubborn and headstrong and once his mind was set on something, there was not much you could do to change that.
Chris was very streetwise and smart and outwardly would make out he wasn’t afraid of anything but inwardly he was always afraid of not being able to control his emotions. When he was loving he was very loving & kind. He left behind his beautiful dog Cali whom he adored like a son. They went everywhere together and Chris loved to take selfies with just the 2 of them.
His family will all miss him more than words can describe and although his life was taken far too soon, his memory will live on in all of you.

Rest In Peace
Our son, Our brother, our friend.

I am devastated to hear this news. Chris was my neighbour. He would come to mine for time out, sometimes asking if He could rearrange my living room or just to help me with my housework.
He was a special soul and His loss has touched my heart just as He did.
My love to his family.
Rachel.
