Ethel was known always as Margaret. She joined St Dominics five years ago and encouraged to settle with support by all staff. Deborah said that her memories of Margaret were that she loved dogs, they would often sit in Margaret's room watching video's of Deborah's dogs charging round the garden, Margaret loved when Charlotte would bring her dog Milo to the home for a visit. Issy remembers Margaret and her beloved friend Joyce, they would sit for hours in the lounge talking and giggling.
Issy also remembers how much Margaret loved her cup of tea and a glass of wine. Katrina remembers Margaret as a religious lady who was very polite to staff and was calmed by someone sitting holding her had. Charlotte said Margaret was very happy to see her son Martin each week when he visited, this gave her a sense of calm and she would then talk so much to staff the next day about her past and family. We will all miss Margaret here. I would like to thank Martin for all His support in helping with the care for Margaret, all the late night visits to help mum settle and your kind words to the staff when mum passed away.
