In loving memory of George Thomas Murphy who sadly passed away on 3rd June 2022 while on holiday with his family and loved ones.

George was a humble man with strong morals and family values, he was the best Husband, Father, Grand Father, Brother and friend any one could have wished for.

He was always the first to offer help to a person in need and yet the last to accept help in return, not wanting to be a burden to anyone.

Words cannot describe how much pain our family feel at this time and thank every one for their support well wishes at this time.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped bring George home, it was so generous and hugely appreciated. George's funeral will be a cremation and we would appreciate it if the only flowers were to come from immediate family. Please don't feel that you have to contribute further but for those that wish to, please click the link below to a family project George wanted to help with for our lovely Olivia.

I have many happy memories in the 1970's with George. All the holidays abroad and having laughs at the local pubs playing darts and cards. Such a nice guy to have as a friend through the years. Sadly missed by me and his old mate's. We all loved him and a great guy to be with.

George worked in our office in Greek Street, Soho - he was a constant presence through most of my 35 year career there. I can't picture it without him. A good decent hardworking man with a sense of humour. Always helping us out. Thanks George for putting up with us and our mess! Best wishes to the family.

George - I miss our daily chats about work and life in general. You were such a kind, helpful and generous man. always full of advice and nothing was too much trouble, even if you took on a bit too much at times. You are sorely missed by everyone who knew you and always will be. Rest in peace. Love Julie x

Uncle George, the kindest and most humble man I’ve ever known! Never have I thought of a life without you in it! I’ve never known anything else and neither have our girls, they love you so much! You’ve been nothing but supportive in all the years with the soundest of advice whenever we needed it (whether we knew it or not) there are so many lovely memories over the years and times that I don’t know what I would have done without you! It has always been an honour and pleasure to call you my Uncle. Words cannot express how much we wish this wasn’t real. Rest in peace George, with all our love, Claire, Mark, May and Mia xxx
