Everyone always remembers a great teacher.
You only have to go on the Holme Middle School Facebook group to see what people thought of Mr Exley.

Lovely man and a fantastic teacher and football coach.
I'll never forget you, you gave everyone that extra mile.
Rest in Peace Sir.

  • Adrian was a terrific teacher at Highfield Middle School. He ran our football team & recruited me to play for Batley Crusaders (about 1975). I had a letter delivered to him a few years ago, so sad to hear of his passing. He gave up alot of his time to coach junior football teams.

  • I too played for Batley and 5 a side at Parkside and that led to me and others playing for Bradford Boys, to which I only played 3 games before injury ended my run. He was a cool guy, I'll never forget him.
