  • Ken at his Birthday party. It is with great sadness we heard of Ken's passing. We sadly couldn't be there to say good bye, but thought dearly about him and his family to whom we present our sincere condolences. Ken was a wonderful gentle and kind man, his smile always lightened TVSC sailing club, he knew how to talk to people, share his experiences, give a word of advice, tell his stories; he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Rest in Peace Ken!

I have many fond memories of racing with Ken in our National Twelves at Trent Valley. In later years we would catch up when our paths crossed and have some thoughtful conversations, usually involving boats and sailing.
RIP Ken.

John

Very sad to hear of Ken's passing. True gentleman who I first met when he became National 12 Vintage Representative. Gave me a lot of encouragement and did a great job. Sad loss to all who knew him.

  • Ken introducing the Goddard Twist. A slightly complicated manoeuvre for Open Meetings. The photo shows Ken explaining it to the Open Meeting sailors.

Ken was a keen dinghy sailor and had been very active in the running of the National 12 dinghy class. He introduced me to dinghy racing back in the mid 80s and the first open meeting I sailed was with him at Trent Valley SC. He will be missed by the National 12 sailors.
