In loving memory of Jean Elsie Leaworthy who sadly passed away unexpectedly on 31st August 2015, aged 89. Beloved wife of the late Tony Leaworthy, Mum to Melanie and Mandy, much loved Grandma to Neil and Jamie; dear Sister and Sister-in- Law to Margaret, Bernard and Shirley, June Leaworthy, the late Nancy Cunningham, Ernie Leaworthy and Gladys Tebbutt. She was a kind Aunty with, until recently, a fantastic memory particularly when birthday celebrations were due.

She was a "Star" and we will miss her dearly.

"Take her to a place where love makes the rules.
Where the tender of heart are not treated like fools"

TO OUR LOVELY MUM

Thank you for the years of care
the times that you were always there
Your council when we didn't know
And patience as you watched us grow
When tears we spilled you’d understand
And offer us your guiding hand

To us you always looked so young
We’re proud to say that you’re our mum
And If we could the year’s we’d lend
Then we could your time extend
To see forever nature’s trace
Of smiling eyes and velvet face

We hoped that you would stay forever
So we could always be together
But when the Angels took your hand
We knew that god had other plans
We miss our sunshine every day
But know that you’re not far away

Take with you our love and laughter
To that place in ‘ever after’
Sweet memories in our hearts we’ll hold
a kiss goodnight from young and old
‘til we meet again and our journeys’ done
We say “Thank you” to our darling mum.

In loving memory of Aunty Jean. Fond memories of time spent with you as we were growing up and of course of the birthday cards and presents that never failed to arrive on time. Rest in peace. xx

I fondly remember how every Saturday afternoon ( her day off from work ) , Jean would take me shopping with her and how she would always, at the end of our day together, treat me to an ice cream. Wonderful childhood memories of the kind and loving big sister that she was.
God Bless you Jean x

Shirley

I agree with Linda about the Birthday cards. They would arrive without fail, sealed with sellotape for security. I remember Auntie Jean as being concerned and caring; Mum, Dad and I visited when we were on holiday in the Isle of Wight and she could not have been more welcoming. We had a lovely time with her and I remember her with great fondness. I'm sorry I won't be able to attend the funeral but I will be thinking of you all.

with love, Lorraine

One of my overwhelming memories of Auntie Jean was that she never ever forgot our birthdays, you always new Auntie Jeans cards her distinctive writing and the sticky tape sealing the envelope. It was a comfort throughout my life to know she always remembered and cared.

With fondest memories, Linda

Welcome Home Jeanie

I dream of Jeannie with the light brown hair, Borne, like a vapour, on the summer air
I see her tripping where the bright streams play, Happy as the daisies that dance on her way

Many were the wild notes her merry voice would pour, Many were the blithe birds that warbled them o'er
Oh! I dream of Jeannie with the light brown hair, Floating, like a vapour, on the soft, summer air

I long for Jeannie with the day dawn smile, Radiant in gladness, warm with winning guile
I hear her melodies, like joys gone by, Sighing round my heart o'er the fond hopes that die

Sighing like the night wind and sobbing like the rain, wailing for the lost one that comes not again
Oh! I long for Jeannie, and my heart bows low, Never more to find her where the bright waters flow

I sigh for Jeannie, but her light form strayed, Far from the fond hearts round her native glade
Her smiles have vanished and her sweet songs flown, Flitting like the dreams that have cheered us and gone

Now the nodding wild flow'rs may wither on the shore, While her gentle fingers will cull them no more
Oh! I sigh for Jeannie with the light brown hair, floating like a vapour, on the soft summer air.

All my Love Tony (Dad)
xXx
