Bradford Funeral Directors

Guide to Funeral Directors in Bradford

The city of Bradford, located in West Yorkshire at the foot of the Pennines, grew rapidly in size during the 19th Century as a result of the burgeoning wool trade, to become one of Britain’s largest urban areas.

Bradford has a dynamic population, the youngest and fastest growing outside of London. Almost one half of people of Asian heritage living in Yorkshire are Bradford residents, making up more than a quarter of the city’s community. Funeral directors in Bradford offer a wide choice throughout the city and surrounding areas, with funeral arranging services to suit a diverse range of requirements and religious beliefs.

There are three crematoria that service Bradford. The main one is Scholemoor just outside the ring road to the west on Necropolis Road. Oakworth Crematorium is situated near Keighley to the north-west of the city and Nab Wood Crematorium is located in Shipley to the north of the city.

From the initial phone call  Helen and the staff at George Brooke have made the hardest time of our life so much easier to bare,  Helen took the time to explain everything to my children guiding them through every step of the way and I will never forget that, I feel the whole team have gone over and beyond.  Thank you           X

My husband died suddenly and unexpectedly in September. Whilst still in shock, a local minister recommended Andy Bowness from Lyndon M. Leeson to me and I can see why. From the outset, he was knowledgeable, professional, reliable and compassionate. He was on hand at any time of the day and kept us informed every step of the way. His advice was invaluable and we always felt in safe hands, nothing was too much trouble. He organised a small family cremation followed by a wonderful service of thanksgiving celebrating my husband’s life. It was a day shared with family and friends filled with happy memories, tears, laughter and much love. Andy made this very difficult time much more bearable and we cannot thank him enough. We would certainly highly recommend his service to others. Thank you Andy!

From the moment you have to make that first phone call you know you're in safe hands. Every member of staff we dealt with was friendly, compassionate, respectful and professional. We were guided along every step of the arrangements that had to be made and could seek advice at any time. On the day of the funeral, Helen and her team were with us throughout, calmly steering us through and always on hand. I would fully recommend George Brooke Ltd to anyone - thanks to them our Mum's funeral day was a lovely, very fitting tribute that we shall always remember and be grateful for.
