My family and I can't express our gratitude enough for the exceptional service provided by Robert and his team at Village Undertakers. During a very difficult time for us, they showed incredible compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail.

From the initial consultation to the final farewell, every step was handled with the utmost care and respect. Robert listened to our wishes and tailored the service to perfectly honour my Dad. His empathy and support made a difficult process so much more bearable.

The arrangements were impeccable, and the ceremony was beautifully organised, with little touches that meant so much to us. Every aspect, from the floral arrangements to the sidecar hearse, exceeded our expectations. Robert's dedication to ensuring everything ran smoothly allowed us to focus on grieving and celebrating the life of my Dad.

We are so grateful to Robert and the team at Village Undertakers and wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone in need of a compassionate and professional funeral director. They truly went above and beyond to provide a perfect, dignified and heartfelt farewell.

We have just recently used Village undertakers (Robert) after losing our dad. Robert was incredible from day one. He was so calm and helped arrange everything from start to finish. He made the full process a lot easier for us all. He also conducted the most beautiful funeral service at Shay Grange cremetorium capturing everything that we had spoken about adding more. Robert is extremely caring and considerate. I would 100% recommend Village undertakers. I can’t thank them enough.

Village undertakers (Robert) provided an excellent service, Robert dealt with everything in a very professional manner from the moment mum passed away right through to organizing the wake.

The Coffin, flowers, the service at the Crematorium were second to none, all done with the respect and professionalism that was required but also with a very calm and respectful atmosphere.

From the second I got in touch with Robert at Village Undertakers,  I felt I was talking to a friend. Robert came to my home the day after I called him and helped me feel much more at ease with dealing with my mum’s sudden passing.  Robert gently guided me though the process of arranging a funeral with full help and support.  Keeping in touch during arrangements, and offered advice and the practicalities as well as discussing the service etc.
The service went as well as a funeral can, with everyone commenting on a wonderful send off for mum. The slide show of photographs to music was a wonderful touch. This is all thanks to the guidance and professionalism of Robert and also the celebrant Liz who lead the service. I would highly recommend Robert at Village undertakers , his kind and compassionate nature helped me though one of the most difficult times in my life. Thank you

We would highly recommend Village Undertakers. From the time we were told mum was in end of life care & who would we want to appoint when the time came, without a second thought Robert came to mind, I’ve known him for a while and without doubt we wanted Village Undertakers to take care of mum when the time came.
We contacted Village Undertakers and Desmond came out to the care home mum was in on the Wednesday as Robert was unavailable as on holiday. Desmond was kind, compassionate & very professional. On his return Robert contacted me on the Saturday morning asking how mum was and how we were, which I found really comforting to know he cared. Mum sadly passed the early hours of the next day, Robert went to collect mum and the care home commented on how compassionate & professional they were.
We met with Robert to discuss the funeral, he was extremely kind, empathetic, professional & caring. We explained what mum wanted and he made all the arrangements, organising everything very promptly and helped take the stress out of a very difficult situation, also taking time to chat and making us feel at ease.
When Robert asked us about mum and her life, the details he took away and turned it into her eulogy was just like he’d known her, it was lovely, sensitive and humorous just as mum would have wanted....Thank you Robert.
I would highly recommend Robert and we were so pleased we chose to use Village undertakers . Thank you x

I cannot recommend The Village Undertaker highly enough. From the first call on the passing of my Mum, right through to the beautiful funeral service and beyond, everything was taken care of by Robert. Right down to the mingling of my Mum's ashes with my Dad's as was her wish. He kept us updated at all stages, making recommendations along the way, the whole experience was stress free.

He also has the amazing ability to listen to snippets of information and stories and turn that into a beautifully personal eulogy.

I have nothing but praise for the professional way in which Robert carried out his duties as an undertaker for the recent funeral of my mother. I first contacted him a couple of years ago, during the lockdown, when everything was very uncertain. He visited me at home, and together we completed the necessary forms. About a month ago, when it was apparent that my mother was dying, I contacted him again. As he was away on the weekend of my mother's death, he had given me the contact number of another undertaker, who came to the care home to take my mother's body away. Robert phoned me as soon as he returned home and together we planned the funeral service. All of Robert's suggestions were helpful, from the florists, the venue for the wake, and the vicar to conduct the service. My wishes were respected throughout. I would like to thank Robert for his courtesy, good humour and support at this difficult time.

I could not recommend Robert highly enough, he was the perfect choice for my husbands funeral from beginning to end.  He has a respectful and caring manner, dealing with all matters efficiently  and sensitively but he also brings a sense of light heartedness.  He guided us through all the arrangements with ease and really listened to all our memories for the eulogy which he delivered and captured perfectly.  Clearly it is a very stressful time for any family but Robert really was the perfect choice for us.

This is the third funeral I have had to arrange in the last five years and I can say without hesitation that this one organised by Village undertakers was the best. Robert was totally on the ball and made the whole process very simple. Everything was planned in the comfort of our own home at a time to suit us. The minister recommended by Robert was also excellent. She too offered a home visit and delivered a lovely service.

I was really lucky that mum had planned ahead & met with Robert well before his services being required. She had a clear view of what she wanted, which made things so much easier at a difficult time for the family. Robert was extremely professional & understanding and really couldn't do any more to ease this loss for us. Mum was 82 when she passed but had a lot of health issues in recent years, which probably made her think about arrangements. It's certainly made me consider making my own plans, anything to help those left behind cope. I certainly would recommend the personal service I've received, compassion & understanding from a genuinely nice chap.
